A Few Words About Tom Breese

My name is Tom Breese and I’m a 25-year-old Video/Audio Editor and a Graphic Designer who also enjoys 3D modeling.

I’ve been making videos since I was 6 years old and have experimented with various forms, such as comedy sketches, short films, testimonials, audio and video podcasts, the odd documentary, and even gameplay videos.

I was born in the UK but moved to America over a decade ago. I am now an American citizen and live just outside Los Angeles. I love to create and be a part of creative projects.

Video Editing

I’m a Video/Audio Editor primarily working in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition. However, I am also experienced in Da Vinci Resolve, AVID Pro Tools, and have completed an AVID user certificate for User Media Composer.

I have experience in editing comedy sketches, short films, testimonials, audio and video podcasts, the odd documentary, and even gameplay videos. I have a full editing set-up at my apartment with an internet speed of 240 Mbps so I am able to work remotely.

At school, at Marin School of the Arts, I was awarded Best Editor, Best Director, Best Color Correction, Best Special Effects, Best Cinematographer. I have worked as a video editor on a YouTube gaming channel, been a Best Boy Grip on a music video and Production Assistant for an independent short film.

Graphic Design

I’m proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and have been drawing for most of my life. From logo design to movie posters, I love to make eye-catching and creative graphics.

I’ve been working as a graphic designer for Six Feet Apart Productions (an online storytelling show) part-time for the last two years. I have designed their logo and advertisements for their shows, plus assisted with editing clips and other promotional videos. I have also worked for the Bay Area Storytelling Festival, designing their logo, flyers and advertisements.

I have worked for a few YouTubers, designing thumbnails for “HowToPlayVideoGames”, “Nerds on a Couch”, and “Sontarantroopr”. I also worked for Levi’s Stadium/VenueNext as an intern, where I assisted with iOS and Android image manipulation for Levi’s Stadium Mobile Applications.

3D Modeling

3D modeling and 3D printing has been a hobby of mine for the last few years now. I’ve experimented with modeling characters and ships from my favorite shows as well as designing my own custom props and costumes for my own film projects. My main modeling program is Autodesk Fusion 360 while I also use Maxon Cinema 4D for additional adjustments. And my 3D printer is the Creality 3D Ender 3 Pro.

I still mostly model and print as a hobby, however I do have an Etsy shop where I design, print, and paint figurines based on people’s drawings or own characters. I also designed and 3D printed a custom theater as a top Patreon perk for Six Feet Apart Productions.

Audio Work

I also work on audio/sound design and have been the Sound Editor for “Kino's Journey Audiobooks” which involved producing, voice recording, editing, sound mixing, exporting, and uploading.I was also the Sound Editor for the podcast “Nerds on a Couch” which included voice recording, editing, sound mixing, exporting, and uploading. I’m currently working on a short film that will have full sound design and audio mixing, completely recreating the entire audio for the short.

During the editing process of these projects, I’ve learned how to level audio correctly, remove unwanted sounds from a recording session, edit out any mistakes or flubs, and mix music, backgrounds, sound effects, and create a complete soundscape from scratch.
